very late update

Still fighting the cancer, but much better. The radiation shrank the tumor and they decided not to do chemo for now. I have a followup ct scan next week and we will see if the tumor has grown or not. Meanwhile, I hang in there and do what I can. If something doesn't get done, well, it'll get done tomorrow or next week or whenever.
